Here at HSS we have an extensive range of wood drill bits, available to buy online, that come in different styles and sizes from brands including DeWalt, IRWIN®, Bahco, Faithfull and Milwaukee Power Tools. Our range includes auger, flat, brad, expansive, and hinge bits to suit different types of applications on wood. Whether working on hard wood, soft wood, or man-made woods such as chipboard, for door locks, mortising, plumbing or electrical work we have a huge selection of wood tool bits to choose from.

Auger, or twist bits, are the most versatile when it comes to drilling wood due to the number of size options available. If you are only going to be drilling into wood and do not need a multi-purpose drill bit, then take a look at our range of lip & spur bits (also known as brad bits). A forstner bit will create a precise, clean, flat-bottomed hole and is ideal for creating dowel holes or making a start on hollowing wood intended to be chiselled out. For larger holes we offer a range of flat (or spade) bits capable of drilling holes wider than 30mm, and long length depths up to 400mm, perfect for drilling accurate, deep holes into wood.
