We work hard to delight our customers. However, if you don't feel your hire experience wasn't everything it should've been, we'd like to know so we can do something about it.

Please email onlinesupport@hss.com and our team will pass this over to the relevant managment team to review.

Identification and returns

Selected products require ID verification at checkout, photo identification such as your driving license or passport will be required to complete the order.

If your ID check is unsuccessful click the "Chat to us now" button at the bottom right of your screen to speak to one of our Live Chat agents who will be able to verify your ID.

Equipment remains on hire, and therefore chargeable, until it's returned to one of our branches. If you require a collection, please call 0345 608 8811 to arrange. The security of any equipment remains your responsibility until it's collected by us or has been returned.

Finished with the equipment you've hired from us? Simply call 0345 608 8811 and quote your contract number – we'll end the hire and you will get an email confirming off hire.

The equipment will be collected at the earliest opportunity convenient for you – usually the next working day.

Yes, we ask that you clean equipment hired from us before returning it. A cleaning charge will be levied if equipment is returned dirty.

Payment and delivery

Debit card/Credit card

You can order and pay online for any HSS product using any debit card or any major credit card.

Apple pay/Google Pay

We now accept Apple pay and Google pay when ordering HSS products online.

Yes. We operate a click and collect service within our branches for online orders. You can order online and collect in store as quickly as 1 hour from when the order was placed. This is subject to availability.

All prices including and excluding VAT are shown on the product page once you enter the dates required, your postcode and select get prices.

A deposit is required on selected items. To find the deposit amount please select the item required, enter the dates, your postcode and select add to basket. Once you go to checkout all prices including any deposit required will be shown.

Yes. Orders placed before 10am can have deliveries in the afternoon of the same day. This is subject to availability.

Delivery and collection prices vary depending on location and size of the equipment. The prices will be shown on the product page when you enter the dates, your postcode and select get prices.

Using our website

Your employer may be using a paywall to limit internet access to certain sites; this is a common security precaution at many workplaces. If you're experiencing access problems at work, you'll need to contact your network administrator

Yes, all the data we collect is stored securely. You'll notice a small padlock or key along the bottom of your screen on the checkout page; this indicates that the page is secure.

We utilise industry-standard, 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all personal information, including credit card and debit card numbers, names and addresses.

Buying from us?

No – All orders will delivered within 24-48 hours only, subject to availability.

If your items arrive damaged/faulty or the wrong item has been sent, there will be no charge to return and HSS will arrange this for you. In all other circumstances you will need to pay to return your item(s). A courier will be arranged to collect from your chosen address and the cost will depend on the item ordered.

Once a returns number has been generated and your item has been sent back, your refund can take between 3-10 working days to appear back in your account.

Providing your order is placed before 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, the item will be delivered within 24-48 hours. Subject to availability.
