Threaded Rods

A threaded rod, or threaded bar, is an extremely versatile piece of kit for use on site or in the workshop. Our range, available to buy from brands ForgeFix and METALMATE, comes in stainless steel or zinc-plated depending on where they are intended to be used. Choose a stainless steel option if the bar is to be used in a marine or coastal environment as it is weatherproof so will not corrode, rust or stain from water. They are sold as single items for convenience to minimise wastage. All our rods are 1m in length and range from M6 to M20. We also offer rod cutters which are ideal for cutting the bar to the exact length needed.

Perfect for outdoor project constructions such as locking sleepers together or connecting fence posts, you can also use them for projects indoors such as creating invisible supports for free floating shelves, or fixing bannisters. Using rod cutters or an angle grinder will allow you to make your own bolts to fit exact requirements if you need a non-standard length.
