The Faithfull Essentials Long Handle Bulb Planter has a forged head with foot treads, manufactured from heat-treated (hardened) carbon steel to provide both strength and durability. The polypropylene and powder-coated finish provide improved resistance to rust, scratches, humidity and alkaloids in the soil.
The long T-grip handle is manufactured from tubular steel with a hard-wearing polypropylene coating, making it comfortable to use. It enables full control of the blade position to ensure a precise edge is created.
It has been designed for the professional gardener. Use for planting larger bulbs by boring a hole into the ground to the desired depth using the barrel of the planter, inserting the bulb and then placing the plug of soil back into the hole. The long-handled bulb planter will save your back as no digging is required and also allows you to penetrate through tough or firm soil using your foot to provide leverage.
Mainly used in September and October for planting spring flowering bulbs (daffodils, tulips, alliums, etc.) or in May when planting summer bulbs (gladioli, etc.)
Overall Length: 960mm
Head Diameter: 70-83mm
